Capacitors withstand high-temperature
reflow
Nippon Chemi-Con MKA series surface-mount electrolytic capacitors are designed for lead-free reflow soldering applications.
Nippon Chemi-Con MKA series surface-mount electrolytic capacitors are designed for lead-free reflow soldering applications, and so can withstand a higher temperature reflow profile with a peak of 250C The capacitors withstand 260C for 20 or 40s, depending on the casing, and 200C for 50 or 70s
Rated voltage is 6.3 to 50V with nominal capacitance values from 0.1 to 1000uF.
Surface-mount cases for the MKA series range in size from 4mm diameter and 5.2mm high to 10mm diameter by 10mm high.
The capacitors have a rated ripple current at 105C, 120Hz ranging from 1.3mA RMS at 0.1uF, 50V through to 460mA RMS at 470uF, 16V and 410mA RMS at 1000uF, 6.3V.
Suitable for high-temperature operation, the capacitors are rated for operation over -40 to +105C and are designed to vent gas in case of overheating.
