SM multilayer inductors aim for uses
above 100MHz
High-frequency multilayer inductors from Young ECC address the surface-mount design requirements of applications over 100MHz.
High-frequency multilayer inductors from Young ECC address the surface-mount design requirements of applications over 100MHz The Taiyo Yuden HK series of multilayer chip inductors offers excellent Q and self-resonant frequency (SRF) characteristics for use in portable phones, pagers and other high frequency circuits and for EMI counter-measures in high-frequency circuits

Low impedance capacitors take the heat
Specialist distributor, Young Electronics, has launched a new series of surface mount capacitors that boast low impedance and high heat capability.
HK1005 has inductance values from 1.0 to 120nH, 300 to 100mA.
The HK1608 has inductance values of 1.0 to 220nH, 300mA and HK2125 has inductance values of 1.5 to 470nH, 300mA.
Inductance tolerances across the series range from +/-0.3nH, +/-10% or +/-5%.
Typical Q values across the 100 to 1000MHz range are from 8 to 39 (HK1005), 10 to 90 (HK1608) and 12 to 72 (HK2125).
Typical SRF ranges from 800 to >13,000MHz for the HK1005, 600 to >13000MHz for the HK1608 and 350 to >6000MHz for the HK2125.
The ceramic, multilayer inductor uses advanced ceramic material and uses low-resistivity silver as internal conductors.
Dimensions for the HK1005 are 1.0 x 0.5mm, HK1608 measures 1.6 x 0.8mm and HK2125 measures 2.0 x 1.25mm.
Operating temperature is -55 to +125C (HK1005) and -40 to +85C (HK1608 and HK2125).
