Taiyo Yuden multilayer ceramic capacitors offer low profiles and a choice of packages to deliver reliable performance with low ESR and higher insulation resistance and breakdown voltages.

Available from Young ECC, multilayer ceramic capacitors from Taiyo Yuden offer low profiles and a choice of packages to deliver reliable performance with low ESR and higher insulation resistance and breakdown voltages in a wide variety of applications where space is a constraint.

MK212 models are rated from 6.3 to 50V and 0.022 to 10uF capacitance levels.

MK316 models are rated from 6.3 to 50V and 0.15 to 10uF.

MK325 models are rated from 6.3 to 50V, 1.0 to 47uF.

Tolerances for all versions are +/-10% and +/-20% tolerances (with selected models offering +80% -20%).

The low profile packages measure 0.85mm +/-0.1mm in thickness for MK212 or 0.85mm +/-0.1mm and 1.15mm, +/-0.1mm for MK316/325.

MK212 is packaged in a 0805 case size, measuring 2.0 x 1.25mm.

MK316 is in a 1206 case with dimensions of 3.2 x 1.6mm.

MK 325 is in a 1210 case measuring 3.2 x 2.5mm.

All three capacitor styles are suitable for reflow and some versions are also suitable for wave soldering processes.

The ceramic capacitors offer high ripple current and high insulation resistance and breakdown voltage to increase operating reliability.

Operating temperatures range from -25 to +85; -30 to +85; -55 to +85 and -55 to +125C, depending on the model.

Suitable applications can be used in liquid crystal modules and liquid crystal drive voltage lines, they can be used as smoothing capacitors for DC/DC convertors and switch mode power supplies as well as used in general circuitry.
