New source for Maxwell ultra-capacitors

Trisha Kirkham, Business Development Manager at Young Electronics, welcomed the news by saying: "We are absolutely delighted with the opportunities that this new franchise brings".
"Ultra-capacitors can deliver up to 10 times the power, last 10 times as long as conventional batteries and offer excellent reliability in high and low temperature operation".
"Postage-stamp-sized small-cell ultra-capacitors can extend battery life and greatly enhance the performance and functionality of handheld electronic products, remote transmitting devices and many other applications with peak power demands".
"Larger caps are ideal for electric vehicles, regenerative braking traction and wind power systems".
"This new line is very important to our strategy", added Kirkham, "as it enables us to provide our customers with a more comprehensive product profile".
"At Youngs we are continuously looking to offer our customers a complete range of capacitors and backup power system solutions".
"Signing this agreement means we are able to offer safe and reliable power solutions for applications in consumer and industrial electronics, transportation and telecommunications".
A spokesman from the Maxwell Swiss office, whose factory has recently gained the rigorous automotive industry ISO TS16949 standard, said the company was very confident that Young's market knowledge and its award winning service would open up new opportunities in what is a highly competitive market.
He concluded by saying: "Young Electronics offers Maxwell specialist knowledge that encompasses a strong technical and design-in capability as well as competent commercial understanding and we look forward to working with this well established and successful manufacturer's agent".
