Low impedance capacitors take the heat
Specialist distributor, Young Electronics, has launched a new series of surface mount capacitors that boast low impedance and high heat capability.
The open board design means the series can boast lighter weight, lower cost and smaller size than alternative convertors.
The OTQ can be mounted vertically or horizontally and it has the same technical features as ETA's OBQ series.
Specifically the OBQ series boast features such as an input range of 4.5 to 72V DC, a switching frequency of 170kHz, a mean time between failures of 1.5Mh and a three year warranty.
Dimensions are 19.5 x 36 x 9mm and weight is 6g.
Operating temperature range is -20 to +71C and humidity range is 20-90%.
Input/output capacitance is typically 220pF, and the convertors include overcurrent protection.
The OTQ-SC/WC series is designed specifically for applications such as office equipment, telecommunications, industrial electronics and machines, automation, robotics and household devices.
