The BCAP0010 is the latest Maxwell Technologies ultracapacitor from Young Electronics.

Supplied individually or stacked in customised modules, the BCAP0010 offers a massive capacitance of 2600F at 2.5V that makes it ideal for high backups in critical and heavy duty applications.

The BCAP0010 has a rated current of 600A and discharges to half rated voltage in 5s.

It features an electrostatic capability that can sustain over 500,000 duty cycles, and weighs only 525g.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +65C.

The new BCAP0010 comes in a cylindrical 60 x 172mm package and provides extended power availability, allowing critical information and functions to remain available during dips, sags and outages in the main power source.

UL recognised, the ultracapacitor is ideal for rail system power, automotive and heavy duty vehicle subsystems, wireless transmissions and many other applications requiring a pulse of energy that cannot be efficiently provided by a battery or power supply alone.

Furthermore, the BCAP0010 can relieve batteries of burst power functions, thereby reducing costs by maximising space and energy efficiency.
