Micro leaded packaged MOSFET/Schottky and bipolar/Schottky combination products from Zetex offer high-efficiency operation and a board space saving of 88% over SM8 packaged products.

Provided in the miniature 3 x 2mm micro leaded package (MLP), mosfet/Schottky and bipolar/Schottky combination products from Zetex offer high efficiency operation and a board space saving of 88% over alternative SM8 packaged products These six transistor/Schottky-diode pairings represent the first devices to be made available from the Zetex MPPS miniature package power solutions range

Through a reduction in thermal and electrical resistance, the 0.9mm high MLP832 packaged products are characterised by high power dissipation and cooler running.

As a result, current handling can be increased by a minimum of 300%.

One NPN and three PNP bipolar combination products are offered, featuring an ultra low saturation transistor and a 1A fast switching Schottky barrier diode with a VR of 40V.

VCE(sat) is typically 140mV at 1A and the range includes 12, 20 and 40V rated PNP parts and a 20V NPN.

Low gate drive and low on-resistance are features of the two mosfet/Schottky combinations.

30V N- and P-channel devices are packaged with the same extremely low VF Schottky to suit DC/DC conversion and low-voltage power-management functions.
