Power devices qualify for automotive duties
Monitors, regulators and references meet the requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for operation in automotive environments at temperatures up to 125C.
With a breakdown voltage of 60V and a continuous forward current rating of 1.65A the dual diodes will replace single die SOT23 components.
The unique exposed lead frame of the MLP package gives the dual Schottky combination a thermal resistance superior to that of industry standard SMA and SMB packages.
A power dissipation of 2.4W can be achieved.
The latest part to be added to the Zetex Miniature Package Power Solutions (MPPS) product line, the ZXSDS2M832 also offers a reduction in off-board height.
The MLP's 0.9mm profile is smaller than that of SOT23 and equivalent to that of a mini-MELF.
Applications to benefit from this device include forward convertor topologies, diode bridges in portable products and DC/DC modules.
