Smaller Schottky claims bigger
performance
The ZHCS350 40V-rated Schottky barrier diode outperforms much larger packaged devices in terms of VF/IR performance, continuous current handling capability and PCB space requirement.
Housed in an SOD523 package, the ZHCS350 40V-rated Schottky barrier diode from Zetex Semiconductors outperforms much larger packaged devices in terms of VF/IR performance, continuous current handling capability and PCB space requirement With a maximum reverse current of 12uA and a low forward voltage, typically specified at 300 and 730mV for continuous forward currents of 30 and 350mA, respectively, the diode assures high efficiency operation for applications including convertors, chargers and LED drivers

Power devices qualify for automotive duties
Monitors, regulators and references meet the requirements of AEC-Q100 Grade 1 for operation in automotive environments at temperatures up to 125C.
The ZHCS350's compact - 1.7 x 0.9mm - footprint offers significant board space saving advantages over alternative SM packaged devices, and its ultralow - 0.8mm - profile will help combat any off-board height restrictions.
The latest part to be added to the Zetex range of high performance low VF Schottky diodes, the ZHCS350 is designated lead free, having 100% matte tin plated external leads.
The Schottky is supplied on 3000- and 10,000-unit tape and reel.
A low leakage version of this device is also planned.
Named the ZLLS350, this diode will be particularly suited to applications requiring extended battery life.
The price of the ZHCS350 through distributors is $0.11 in quantities of 10,000.
