Samsung certifies green credentials
Zetex Semiconductors has been certified by Samsung Electronics as an Eco-Partner affiliate company.
Zetex Semiconductors has been certified by Samsung Electronics as an Eco-Partner affiliate company An on-site audit concluded that the Zetex environmental management system met all the requirements of Samsung's Green Procurement Programme
With the aim of establishing a completely green supply network, the programme requires component suppliers to fully comply with the European Union's RoHS Directive, which effectively bans the use of six different toxic substances from July 2006.
Zetex Group Quality Manager Paul Mitchell said: "Our certification as a Samsung Eco-Partner highlights our commitment to provide customers with environmentally friendly products".
"Zetex was one of the first semiconductor manufacturers to offer a complete lead-free product range".
