Speaking at the opening ceremony, Bob Conway, CEO, Zetex Semiconductors said: "China is clearly the manufacturing powerhouse behind a whole host of consumer electronic products which benefit greatly from our unique brand of power efficient devices".
He continued: "Opening the new office is very much a strategic decision for us".
"We have a number of very important customers in the region and it's essential for us to be closer to them, to provide them with the right level of service and support".
Zetex has played an active role in the Asia Pacific region for more than 15 years.
The company opened its Hong Kong office in 1989, launched a joint manufacturing venture with Chengdu City in 1995 and is represented in the region by an extensive network of distributors and agents.
