The MG1264 duplex codec for H264 is offered in a very small package measuring just 9 x 9mm and drawing less than 200mW making it suitable for applications in digital cameras, CCTV IP cameras, digital video recorders (DVR), personal video recorders (PVR), video conferencing, mobile phone and numerous other battery powered or video storage and transmission applications.
Zilica, based in the UK and Germany, will be promoting the new MG1264 codec throughout Europe offering demonstrations, samples and data at various security and broadcast trade shows.
Customers may purchase a demonstration system which allows video to be encoded and decoded at various resolutions, frame rates and with full control over all chip functions.
Samples are available now from Zilica and the chip is priced at US $25 for samples and US $15 for 1000-plus units.
