ZiLog has begun shipments of its eZ80 Webserver (eZ80190), enabling easy, cost-effective, direct connections to networks and the Internet.
"We expect demand for Internet connectivity-enabled applications to increase in industrial control, security, and home and office automation as consumers demand greater mobility and access", said Norman Sheridan, Vice President and General Manager of ZiLOG's Connecting Technology Business Unit.
"The easy-to-use eZ80 Webserver enables design engineers without Internet expertise to quickly integrate Internet connectivity into their applications".
The workshop agenda feature the following components: overview of the embedded Internet; eZ80 Webserver powering an embedded web application; development and debugging tools; GPIO with the eZ80 Webserver; GUI interfacing with Windows and the eZ80 Webserver; email interfacing with the eZ80 Webserver; and PPP with the eZ80 Webserver.
Workshops will be held in Connecticut, New York, Alabama, North Carolina, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, California and British Columbia.

The registration fee is $399 and includes workshop admission and the eZ80 developer's kit (retail: $799).
Registration for the workshop, without the kit, is $49.
