Zuken joins the Synopsys HSPICE Integrator Program
Zuken has joined the Synopsys HSPICE Integrator Program to advance its high-speed design flow and increase capabilities for simulation of highly complex electronics circuits.
Power planes can become resonant in high-speed digital designs, rendering decoupling capacitors ineffective and increasing radiated interference.
Hot-Stage PI enables the electrical verification of the supply structures, providing fast, full board analysis of results with short feedback loops to verify the impact of design changes.
Decoupling capacitor performance can be analysed over a wide range of frequencies including what-if analysis regarding capacitor value changes and users are presented with not just an output waveform, but with detailed information of the sources of problems.
Using Hot-Stage PI, design iterations are reduced and design quality is improved.
Hot-Stage PI analysis is based on algorithms developed by the OEMC Expert System Consortium' at UMR (the University of Missouri Rolla), a joint industry and research consortium.
The algorithms have been verified by leading industry partners including IBM and Sun.
Hot-Stage is integrated into Zuken's Board Integrity Solution for PCB design, it provides engineers with a virtual scratchpad for experimentation and with a design environment in which accurate routing and simulation of high speed boards can be achieved within a constraints driven, consistent design flow.
A recently introduced "companion" version of the tool can provide the same functionality with Mentor's Board Station layout package. Request a free brochure from Zuken ...
