Additionally, this tool satisfies today's need for higher density board designs populated with complex, dense and mixed circuit components, and the need for greater manufacturing yields.
During interactive and automatic routing, all area rules are followed dynamically.
There is no limit to the number of areas that can be defined and the tool allows many different rules.
For ease of use, already-defined areas can be copied and their technology restriction rules maintained.
The Rules-by-Area tool allows high-density designs in the same board area with optimal control when even more dense and complex components, such as BGAs with more than 2000 or 3000 solder balls are used.
The Rules-by-Area tool is a powerful addon to the grid-free, any-angle rules-driven architecture of Cadstar PR Editor, with its manual, interactive and automatic routing and placement capabilities.
