Simulation kits aid FPGA integration
Zuken is quick to provide users of its CR-5000 packaging and PCB design environment with simulation design kits that enable rapid and easy adoption of the devices.
The popularity of Linux continues to increase as companies recognise the operating system's flexibility, improved security and potential for lower lifecycle costs.
In particular, certain industries, including the semiconductor field, have identified with these benefits.
There has been a trend toward Linux becoming mainstream for design systems in this sector, along with their partners in the packaging and printed circuit board design fields that must be integrated for seamless design processes.
Zuken's business in the semiconductor and packaging related fields and in Western markets is on the rise.
Following specific requests, the development was completed to implement support for Linux.
The source code of CR-5000 has been ported to Linux from scratch, rather than just emulating the Windows or Unix version in Linux.
In this way it was possible to leverage the performance and features of Linux to the maximum extent possible.
As the compatibility has been maintained with the database of the existing Windows and Unix versions, mixed operation is also achievable.
The use of Linux with version 9.0 of CR-5000 Board Designer has been evaluated by a partner organisation and will be available in the near future at the standard Board Designer price. Request a free brochure from Zuken ...
