The RN1100 RabbitNet digital I/O card is the first in a series of RabbitNet expansion products for use with the latest Z-World single-board computers (BL2500) and operator interfaces (OP7200) RabbitNet is an I/O expansion mechanism based on three-wire, full duplex technology, and using low cost, off-the-shelf Ethernet cables

Data are transmitted at 1Mbit/s to a maximum recommended distance of 10m.

When used with a compatible Z-World single-board computer or operator interface acting as a master, RabbitNet can be used to expand the amount of available I/O, or increase the distance from the master device to the I/O points.

Easily mounted on a 100mm DIN rail tray (100 x 90 x 17mm), the RN1100 features a ruggedised I/O set consisting of 24 inputs and 16 sink/source outputs.

Four 10bit buffered analogue input channels are also included.

The RN1100 is priced at $73 (100-off).

A low-cost connectivity kit is available for $18 that contains friction lock connectors and crimp terminals.
