?Baseband Processor?

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release TMPM36x microcontrollers for embedded applications from Toshiba Electronics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its range of high-performance 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontrollers with devices for embedded applications such as office equipment and industrial control.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Smart network adapters target security appliances from Interface Masters Technologies: "Interface Masters Technologies' 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10Gb) Smart Network Adapters come in a PCI-e form factor and are targeted at networking and security appliances, servers and storage systems.".

In February 2011, we covered the news from Energy Micro - take a look at Low-power MCU used in Aquiba smart water meter which says: "Aquiba has selected Energy Micro's energy-friendly EFM32 Gecko microcontroller (MCU) for use in its A200 smart water meter.".

Take a look also at the news release from Kontron, ATCA platforms support all-IP networks, as well as Barebone computer designed for fanless operation from Ibase, and Fanless vehicle computer suits rugged environments from Acrosser.
