?Electrolytic Capacitors?

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release MLCC capacitors can be used in harsh environments from Holystone, which we summarised at the time by saying "Now available, Holy Stone's compact 'Verti-Zontal' (vertically oriented, horizontally stacked) MLCC capacitors are designed for applications with limited headroom, requiring a high-CV product.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Ecospeed regulator for use with li-ion batteries from Semtech: "The wide input voltage range of Semtech's SC410 makes it suitable for use with lithium-ion battery packs and charging adapters or regulated 12 or 18V main power-supply rails in embedded applications.".

In January 2011, we covered the news from Linear Technology - take a look at uModule Regulator targets medical systems which says: "Applications for the LTM4618 6A DC/DC uModule Regulator include medical systems, ATCA cards, single-board computers, and industrial and networking equipment. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Faraday Technology, IPs targeted at handset communication systems , as well as DC/DC regulators for single Li+ cell applications from Intersil, and New reference design for 5W offline LED driver from Power Integrations.
